Looked fab. Tasted fab. Such a satisfying thing to grow.
It even put a smile on Allie dog's face
Everything is still growing fantastically
I have more cucumbers, marrows and sweetcorn than I know what to do with.
What do you do with excess cucumbers?
The peas are done. Never enough peas. But enough for some for the freezer.
And beans have been just about right. Possibly slightly to many but they freeze well so they don't go to waste, unlike excess cucumbers.

I have never grown so many tomatoes.
The freezer is full of tomato soup.
At a loss what to do with the rest, and with all the hot sunny days here, the obvious answer was sun dried tomatoes.
I love sundries tomatoes.
This is the third attempt.
The first attempt I covered with a clear plastic sheet to keep thunderstorms and flies off. That acted as a lens and I came home to charcoal!
Yes, really - totally black. Appartment from about 5 of them.
The second attempt, flies and rotting ruined them.
So very sad.
This time I discovered a suggestion online to put them on paper towel for the first hour, to soak up some juice.
And I was presented by the engineer with two mesh screens - one to go underneath and one on top. Mesh underneath should stop the bottoms going soggy and mesh on top will hopefully keep the bugs away.
Fingers crossed for third time lucky.
The raseberries just don't stop.
I wasn't expecting much from them this year but a handful every day for over a month is very respectable.
The potatoes need digging up and now the plums need picking.
It's certainly keeping us all busy.
But, oh, so satisfying.
Plum and raseberry jam anyone?
