Terminator toffee

This toffee looks innocent enough.

But it's got a worrying habit.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times, or into how many pieces you chop this toffee up, it just keeps on recombing:

I daren't leave it too long, we might found out what it turns into.

But, maybe now we have won?

In case you are wondering, I made this toffee, cut it into squares and put it in a jar. 2 weeks later it had recombined. I got it out of the jar, which was a challenge without breaking the jar, separated the chunks, put them in a dish and they recombined again. So this time I melted them down, reformed them and wrapped them.
Have we finally beat the terminator toffee?

And amazing help from the neighbour in the form of rotivating and perfect poo compost donated by their cows, all contributed.

Now we just need plants to start growing and producing.
